December 11, 2024 Meeting
-
During the meeting, the committee was given the opportunity to review plans prepared by Zonda Education. Due to short-term capacity issues, the committee eliminated Draft Plans #1 and #2, leaving two of the four plans for community input. Please click the links below to view the remaining options: Plans #3 and #4.
Pros:
- Long term capacity
- Enrollment distribution: new campus has fewer students
- Crossing CR 313 is not required
- All Jarrell Elementary students feed into Jarrell Ranch
- All Igo Elementary students feed into Jarrell Middle
Cons:
- Igo Elementary students are routed to Jarrell Middle, although Jarrell Ranch may be closer for some.
- Double Creek students are split.
(This plan will be altered just a bit. The portion of land to the left of Igo Elementary will be included in the JRMS Zone to help with transportation. This tweak impacts only a handful of students.)

Next Steps:
- Soon, these plans and this Google Form will be shared with the community to gather more input.
- In January, the committee will review the input and rank the plans.
- In February, the committee will present our findings and recommendations to the board.
Please remember the Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees will ultimately make the decision.
