As a passionate educator and relentless advocate for student growth, Mr. Lance has dedicated his career to fostering a nurturing learning environment that empowers students to excel both academically and personally. After completing his studies in English Literature from Southwest Texas State University, he embarked on an eleven year journey as a high school English teacher. Wanting to expand his knowledge and influence as an educator, Mr. Lance continued his own professional growth and learning by returning to Stephen F. Austin State University for his Master’s in Educational Leadership. Following that, he served as a high school administrator for 4 years. Beyond his educational career, Mr. Lance is an avid reader and adventurer. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, and fishing. He is married to the most patient woman in the world, with whom he shares 2 daughters, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 rabbit. Mr. Lance is very excited to continue his educational journey as an assistant principal at Jarrell Middle School, where he aims to help in creating an educational environment that fosters critical thinking, empathy, and resilience - preparing students not only for academic success but also to become compassionate and responsible citizens.
